2. Service Description

OpenPaper is an AI-powered research writing platform. Our 18 specialized AI agents generate academic papers with verified citations sourced from 500M+ entries in academic databases (OpenAlex, CrossRef, Semantic Scholar). Users select a topic, academic level, and citation style, and the platform delivers a structured, cited research paper.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All papers created by OpenPaper are AI-assisted research drafts. They are not a substitute for original academic work. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all created content, including citations, before use. OpenPaper does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of created content for any specific purpose.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit AI-generated papers as your own original work without disclosure, where required by your institution.
  • Use the service to generate content that violates applicable laws or academic integrity policies.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
  • Share your account credentials with third parties.

You are responsible for complying with your institution's AI usage guidelines.

For slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages and only in cases of breach of a material contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht).
